2001 Y Reg Vauxhall Astra Van 1.7DTI

right my brothers 2001 Y Reg Vauxhall Astra Van 1.7DTI has stopped working.

It wont start up. the engine cranks over but wont start.

it drove fine before this, although loving gutless before the turbo spooled up.(this'll be solved with a remap later)

the battery is fine, plenty of fuel in it, and no funny sounds.

we tried to bump it but **** that s***. never again am i doing that!!!

Any ideas of things i can try or any experiences people have had??

id say the pumpo is fucked!! were is it?? i can have a look one day if needed

also is the eml on?

need to do a diagnostic read on it i think.

My first thought was fuel pump aswell. Aint they quite expensive on a diesel?
