How splendid

right people as you can see my car has been through bit of a modifying journey and has had some go faster parts fitted in the last 18 months including,
Cat cam 645 (Race/Rally Cam),
QEP Hi Comp Head,
Raceland 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold
S1 Rallye Inlet Manifold
OMP Grp A Inox Race Exhaust System.

i had it mapped and tbh i was very unhappy with the results but the service too.
anywho onwards and upwards.

a standard 1.6 8v will make 103bhp.
its currently making between 119bhp and 127bhp. which is poor for the spec but good for a 1.6 8v. main reason for this is that the car runs very lean on WOT (Wide Open Throttle), but runs rich when idling. generally it runs a bag of s*** i think due to being on the standard ecu remapped.
But it does surprise many other cars due to it weighing around the same as a shoe box!
My aim is to break 150bhp. which for a 1.6 8v is very good!! wont be many other 1.6 8v in the country making that much power.

these are a set of Throttle bodies from a GSXR1000 K2 with an ITG panel filter.

To control everything i will be using an Omex 600 ECU plus a set of injectors from a Peugeot 406 2.0L 16v which have a flow rate of 190cc. should be bigger enough.



This should help to stop the problems i have at the moment. AtSpeed Racing in Raileigh will be mapping the car (These guys have experience with all sorts of cars and have proven time after time they know the stuff and produce very good pleasing results) hopefully all before christmas.

thats the plan. i am planning to get them fitted 13th onwards and hen get it mapped and back before 20th. there is a 106owners vs saxperience meet on the 20th in oxford i want to attend.

Gonna ring Ian @ AtSpeed Racing over the weekend try and get the car booked in for next week to gt it all set up.

right booked in for tomorrow now. got most of wiring done today. just fuel pump and fan which has to be done just before mapping. then plug all sensors in then they can map it.

150 here we come!!! (hopefully)

right, The Rallye was dropped off @ Atspeed Racing yesterday with a box of ''Goodies''! hopefully get it back next wednesday.

you'll know if i got it back coz when ya see me i'llhave a big big smile on my face and probably slightly hard of hearing! lol

little update i got sent via the owners club.

Right she's back. making 119bhp at the wheels which is 23bhp up on before and about 44bhp up on standard S2 8v. its around 147bhp at the flywheel.
But im going back in the new year with a new manifold which should release yet more power. Roughly 7 to 10 bhp extra. but we'll wait and see.

The sound is so fooking good!! you'll all hear me at some point. it pulls quite good too, but it so smooth now. like standard. also we flame quite well too lol
